Centennial activities on Thursday, Friday and Saturday will affect downtown streets this week.
Thursday: Main Street will be closed between First and Second streets to set up a stage for the opening day celebration and historic marker unveiling. Northbound traffic on Main Street will have the option of turning left or right onto First Street.
Friday: Trade Street will be closed between Fifth and Seventh streets, and Sixth Street will be closed between Cherry and Liberty streets, for the Blue Moon Gallery Hop.
Saturday: No parking will be allowed along the route of the Centennial Parade, including all of Main Street through Old Salem and up to Third Street, Third Street between Main and Liberty streets, and Liberty Street between Third and First streets. First Street will be closed between Liberty and Cherry streets.
Sunday: Attendees of Sunday worship service in need of handicap accessibility should enter the May Dell from the service road along Salem Avenue near the Winston-Salem Federal Credit Union.
