Sr. Video Specialist
Larry Bell´s experience includes 17 years as a photojournalist. He spent eight of those in Winston-Salem working with Fox 8 WGHP. With WSTV 13 since 1999, his knowledge and understanding of the electronic news gathering business has repeatedly left him staring down the viewfinder of exclusive video. Larry´s talent as a videographer and nonlinear editor is seen in the numerous 3CMA (City County Communications and Marketing Association) award-winning programs the station has produced. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications and a masters degree in Instructional Technology, both from North Carolina A&T State University.
Michael Brock is a native of this area, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he was credited as the Head Audio Technician of the NC Senatorial Debate procured by the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2008. Michael comes to the team from WXII News12, where he was a photojournalist. During his time there, he received the 2013 North Carolina Association of Broadcasters Award for Outstanding Sports Story or Series, “Giving All She Has.” Duties at WSTV 13 include nonlinear editor, videographer, and cable wrangler; Michael enjoys all aspects of broadcasting television and loves meeting and gaining insight from city workers and citizens as well. Michael believes that while being a public servant, it is essential to relay accurate information to citizens of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County, while producing television-worthy projects for WSTV 13.
Frank Elliott has more than 10 years of experience writing and producing for television, in addition to his 25-plus years of writing professionally for newspapers, magazines and public relations. His television credits include "Mission Excellence: The Governor’s School of North Carolina" (1996) and "Total Quality Government," (1997), both produced for the UNC Center for Public Television. In 2000 he joined the staff of WSTV 13, where he has written and produced a number of award-winning documentaries and public service announcements, including "Reynoldstown: A Community Story" (2000), "The Yadkin & You," (2001), and "Chasing the Clouds: The Story of Smith Reynolds Airport." (2004). He also is the writer/producer of "13 on 13" and he serves as the deputy director of the city’s Marketing and Communications Department.
