Dispose of Unwanted Medications during Operation Medicine Drop - Wednesday, September 24, 2014
Citizens can turn in expired, unwanted, or unused prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications, no questions asked, on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, during Operation Medicine Drop. Medications will be accepted from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Winston Mutual Building located at 1225 East Fifth Street. All drop-offs will be anonymous.
Operation Medicine Drop is being sponsored by the Winston-Salem Police Department, The Northwest Piedmont Chapter of Safe Kids NC, and the Yadkin River Keepers. Operation Medicine Drop is a safe way to get rid of unwanted medications, which in turn helps prevent accidental poisonings, drug abuse, and protects water quality.
Prescription and over-the-counter drugs will be accepted. Used needles and other biohazardous material will not be accepted.
