Photography (1921)

Under Dewey C. Brown, the Records/Identification section began using photography with the first mug shots made August 17, 1921. A darkroom and processing equipment was purchased. Crime scene photography began in the late 1920's or early 30's, but was only used in serious crimes. Fatal traffic accident scenes were also photographed.
