Inventories between 1764 and 1772, indicated that there were, on average, over 200 cows, 100 hogs, 50 horses, 30 geese, 40 ducks, and more than 100 chickens on the Bethabara Farm.
The replica 1765 Calf Barn houses the “Trades in Bethabara” exhibit and is included in the self-guided tour of Historic Bethabara Park. The exhibit displays tools that are representative of the implements used by the tradesmen of Bethabara in the 18th century, such as the joiner, carpenter and farmer. Also shown are products of the work of a wainwright, a wheelwright, a cooper and a basketmaker. The barn also houses a Conestoga wagon and a 19th century doctor’s buggy.
