Since the Moravians settled Salem in 1766 through today, Salem Creek has been an important resource for food, water, power, and recreation. Tour the sites where the Moravians used the creek to sustain their lives, and then see how the creek is faring today. Led by archaeologist M. O. Hartley, Ph.D. & researcher/planner Martha Hartley of Old Salem Museums & Gardens and Cornelia Barr of the Gateway Environmental Initiative. (Shoes for soggy ground and uneven terrain suggested.).
