The portion of East Fourth Street between Patterson Avenue and Maple Street, and Linden Street between Third and Fourth streets, will be closed to through traffic starting 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, to install water lines to serve the Piedmont Triad Research Park. Work is scheduled to be finished by 5 p.m. Friday, July 20, weather permitting. Delays could postpone the reopening until 7 a.m. Monday, July 23. A detour will be posted.
Because Third Street remains closed between Patterson Avenue and Maple Street, traffic exiting downtown to the east will have to use Fifth Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive while Fourth Street is closed. For more information call CityLink 311.
