Bicyclists of all ages and abilities are invited to bring their bikes downtown for Cycling Sunday on Sept. 25. From 2:30 to 5:30 p.m., downtown streets bounded by Fifth, Spring and Poplar streets and Holly Avenue will be closed for car-free cycling. Walkers, skateboarders, scooters, and roller-skaters are welcome, too! Helmets are required for everyone but walkers.
Participants can get a map of the Cycling Sunday routes by registering at the Spring Street entrance to the Central Library parking garage.
Cycling Sunday is sponsored by the Winston-Salem Department of Transportation, the Forsyth County Health Department, and the Winston-Salem Urban Area Bicycle & Pedestrian Program.
