City residents are invited to an open house Thursday, June 27, to hear about the progress of the proposed urban circulator (streetcar and enhanced bus), which will connect Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center with West End, the BB&T Ballpark area, downtown, Wake Forest Innovation Quarter, WSSU and East Winston.
The open house will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. in the McNeil Ballroom in the Anderson Conference Center at Winston-Salem State University, 601 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Parking is free.
Participants may drop in at any time during the workshop to talk with city staff and project team members. However, there will be a brief presentation at 5:30 p.m. that would be helpful for those who are not familiar with the project.
City staff and project team members will present updated information on the project, including the proposed route, factors considered during the study, and next steps. Exhibit boards showing the proposed route and other project components will be displayed.
The study is scheduled to be complete by the end of this summer.
