The Reynolds Park Road bridge over Salem Creek will reopen to traffic by 7 p.m. today. After further analysis, a North Carolina DOT inspector has determined that the bridge can be reopened for traffic with the same posted weight limit of 5 tons. Detour signs will remain in place for vehicles? over 5 tons.
The bridge was closed last Friday on the advice of a bridge inspector for North Carolina’s Department of Transportation.
Work is still underway to replace the bridge in 2015.
