Searchable map of pedestrian incidents/accidents in Forsyth County (open map in a new window)
The following map includes ten years of reported collisions between motor vehicles and pedestrians within city limits. As part of our educational outreach efforts, this map serves as a tool for determining behavioral risks or technical issues that lead to collisions. Our hope is to use the patterns shown in the map to apply solutions to the behavioral and technical issues to decrease the frequency of crashes. Each marker is color-coded to indicate the injury incurred by the pedestrian: red indicates a fatality, yellow indicates a disabling injury, green indicates an evident injury, blue indicates a possible injury, pink indicates no injury, and gray indicates an unknown injury status. Clicking a marker will give crash information and the reported contributing circumstances leading to the collision.
