Job Access Reverse Commute (JARC) and Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities (Section 5310) Grants

The Winston-Salem Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is eligible for Job Access Reverse Commute (JARC) Section 5316 funds authorized under the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU).

The purpose of the Job Access Reverse Commute (JARC, or Section 5307) grant program is to support the development and maintenance of transportation services designed to transport welfare recipients and eligible low-income individuals to and from jobs and activities related to their employment.

The purpose of the Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities (Section 5310) grant program purpose is to improve mobility for seniors and individuals with disabilities throughout the country, by removing barriers to transportation services and expanding the transportation mobility options available.
