Utilities is beginning an 18-month project to repair or replace aging water and sewer lines in the Ardmore neighborhood. The project area is bordered by Hawthorne Road and Watson Avenue to the west, Academy Street to the north, Peters Creek Parkway to the east and Hausman Street to the south.
Work will begin Monday, June 6, on Lockland Avenue between Academy and Gaston streets. Construction along these two blocks is expected to take three weeks. A detour will be posted.
The work will be performed by Cajenn Construction & Rehabilitation Services Inc. of Hoboken, Ga. Representatives of the Utilities Division and Cajenn will make a brief presentation and be available to answer questions about the project at the next meeting of the Ardmore Neighborhood Association on Thursday, June 9, at 7 p.m. at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, 1064 Miller Street.
