Keep Winston-Salem Beautiful has received a shipment of more than 300,000 flower bulbs donated by K. Van Bourgondien & Sons Inc. of Virginia Beach. They are available for groups or individuals to plant in such public areas as street rights of way, parks, schools, etc. They may NOT be planted on private property.

The bulbs are available starting Jan. 5 on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Types of bulbs include daffodils, tulips, hyacinths, crocus, allium, anemone, muscari, lilies, fritillarias, iris and others.

Citizens interested in receiving bulbs should call Keep Winston-Salem Beautiful through City Link at 727-8000 or send an e-mail to George Stilphen at georges@cityofws.org. Bulbs may also be requested through the Keep Winston-Salem Beautiful page at www.kwsb.cityofws.org.
