Mayor Allen Joines congratulates Winston-Salem residents Kim and Maggie Sharpe and the KMS Gospel Singers on being selected to perform again at the National Christmas Tree in Washington D.C.

The KMS Gospel singers are scheduled to perform this year on Dec. 6. They also performed last year.

Each year, volunteer bands, choirs and dancers perform nightly in December on the Ellipse Stage in President’s Park (next to the White House) as part of the National Christmas Tree Music Program. The KMS Gospel Singers will perform original gospel music as well as traditional Christmas songs from 8 to 8:30 p.m. Admission is free.

KMS Gospel Singers receives in-kind support from 14th Street Recreation Center and Middlefork Christian Church, which provides rehearsal space.
