Mayor Allen Joines has invited choruses from local high schools to participate in the second annual City Hall Holiday Music Series, to be held the week of Dec. 5.

Choruses from Parkland, Reagan, North Forsyth, Glenn, and Reynolds high schools will perform Dec. 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9, respectively, at 12:30 p.m. in the lobby of City Hall, 101 N. Main St.

Joines said he is thankful for the partnership with the school system, and is happy that the series has become an annual event. “I think this music series is a great way to provide holiday entertainment by our students for city employees and people who live or work downtown.”

The choruses will perform traditional holiday songs and contemporary a cappella pieces.

All performances are free and open to the public.

Joines will greet the schools. He and David Fonseca, the assistant superintendent of instructional services for the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, will attend Monday’s performance.
