The city of Winston-Salem was recently honored by the 33rd annual Telly Awards for three productions by WSTV 13, the city’s television channel.
“100,000 People,” a music video produced for the City-County Planning Board to raise awareness of the Legacy 2030 Update, won a silver Telly, which is the competition’s top prize.

“The Waltz of the Flying Butts,” a public service announcement to fight cigarette litter; and “Winston-Salem Fallen Officers,” a news feature about the Winston-Salem Police Memorial, were finalists in the competition and received bronze Telly awards.
The Telly Awards were established in 1980 to recognize outstanding film and video productions and non-network television programs and commercials. Productions selected for awards are recognized as winners or as finalists.

With these awards, WSTV 13 has won 12 Telly awards since 2002.
