Live music, food, art, and student displays on 20 Latin American countries highlight the Latin American Expo-Fair, to be held Saturday, Oct. 21, from noon to 4 p.m. in Winston-Square Park and the Mountcastle Forum in the Sawtooth Building, 226 N. Marshall St.
The event includes an exposition to educated non-Hispanics about Latin American countries and culture, and an information fair to give Hispanic residents information about community agencies and the services they provide.
Exhibitors include the Legal Aid Society of Northwest North Carolina, Consumer Credit Counseling Services, Cancer Services Inc., the Workforce Development Program of the Northwest Piedmont Council of Governments, Family Services Inc., the Forsyth County Health Department, the Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem, the Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina, and the Winston-Salem Symphony.
The Latin American Expo-Fair is being organized by the Human Relations Commission, the Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County, the Hispanic Center at Forsyth Technical Community College, and the Hispanic Arts Initiative.
