Police Department - Oct. 21, 2013


Teams representing the Winston-Salem police and fire departments will play an exhibition basketball game on Sunday, Oct. 27, to raise awareness of domestic violence. The game will be at 4 p.m. at the Hanes Hosiery Recreation Center, 501 Reynolds Blvd., Winston-Salem. At halftime there will be a community Wobble line dance. Other events include a free-throw contest and a “dress-up lay-up” contest. Sparky the Fire Dog and McGruff the Crime-Fighting Dog will be on hand to interact with youngsters.
