Moonlight Madness 5K & Fun Run Accepting Registrations

Online registration is now open for the 4th annual Moonlight Madness 5K & Fun Run, sponsored by the City of Winston-Salem to benefit the United Way of Forsyth County.

This year’s race will be held 8 p.m. Sept. 19 at Merschel Plaza (formerly Civic Plaza), 122 W. Fourth St. and will feature a new, certified course that runs through the Wake Forest Innovation Quarter.

This year’s pre- and post-race entertainment will feature a DJ show with glow lights and other new additions. After the race, runners can enjoy the Texas Pete Culinary Arts Festival downtown, which begins that night.

Registration is $30 through Aug. 31 and $35 Sept. 1 through Sept. 16. There will be no on-site registrations the day of the race. All runners will again receive the coveted long-sleeve, glow-in-the-dark race shirts.

Companies interested in participating in the Moonlight Madness Corporate Challenge should contact Ed McNeal at HanesBrands won the inaugural Corporate Challenge last year and took home the Old Salem Coffee Pot trophy for the year.
