Employee Performance Appraisal System (EPAS)

In 2011, we introduced our online performance appraisal system, EPAS. Designed by our Information Systems Department, EPAS is easy to customize, user-friendly, and more efficient. The system provides a tool for the annual performance appraisal to be done electronically - from completing the form and routing it between employee, rater and reviewer to actually submitting the form to the Human Resources Department. By eliminating paper forms, the program allows us to follow the city's Green Initiative.

2020 Opening

EPAS will open for the 2020 evaluation season on Tuesday, September 1 at 8:30 a.m., and close at the end of the day on Wednesday, September 30. Access the EPAS website.

Login Information:

Open Internet Explorer. Go to the Employee Center. Click on the EPAS link on the right side of the Employee Center home page to access the login screen and remember the following:

  • The login for EPAS is now synced with Active Directory.
  • For most employees, your user name and password are the same as your user name and password for your personal computer login for the City network.
  • For police and fire employees, your user name and password are the same as the login information for your email.

What you need to know...

  • Each form has 5 weighted categories and 25 questions divided among the five categories. The employee must be rated on each question using the rating scale provided under each question.
  • Both employees and raters are now required to make 100-character comments in the summary comment box for each category and in the final comment box for a total of six comments in all.
