  1. Submit an application to Human Resources department during the application period. You may complete an interest card online to be notified when applications are being accepted. No applications are accepted outside of the hiring period.
  2. Candidate Physical Ability Test. Details of the test will be provided in advance.
  3. Recruitment examinations:
    1. Comprehensive Examination Battery Test (measures skills needed for job performance including cognitive ability, reading comprehension, and personal character traits).
    2. Work Styles Inventory (measures traits for maintaining effective relations with co-workers and the public).
  4. Pre-employment Interview.
  5. Final pre-employment screening:
    1. Criminal Record Check
    2. DMV screening
    3. Drug Screening
    4. Medical "fit for duty" screening
