VoIP Phone Features

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) offers several features including directory searching, a do-not-disturb setting, and speed dialing.

Directory Search by Name or Number

There is a directory search on your phone that you can use to look up employees by name and then automatically dial them.

  1. Press the "directories" button on the lower-right side of the phone.
  2. Use the UP/DOWN arrows to scroll to the "Corporate Directory" option.
  3. Press the "Select" button to go to the Directory.
  4. Use the UP/DOWN arrows to choose to search by First Name, Last Name, or Number.
  5. You will see an underline cursor - use the phone keypad to press for the alphabet letter you are looking for, one at time. For example, to spell BEN, touch the number 2 key twice to get to "B" and then pause until the cursor moves over, then touch the number 3 key twice to get the "E" and then pause, then touch the number 6 key twice to get the "N" and then pause. You don't necessarily have to spell the entire name - just enough to get a search result. Try with just 2 or 3 letters.
  6. When you have your letters chosen, press the "Search" button to get results.
  7. Scroll through the list to find the person you are looking for by using the up and down arrows.
  8. Press the "Dial" button to have the phone dial that person.

Do Not Disturb

Force your calls directly into voicemail and not ring at all:

  1. Press the "CFwdALL" button (it will tone 2 times and ask you to enter a number).
  2. Press the "messages" button in the lower-right side of the phone.
  3. It will now show that all calls are being forwarded into voicemail.

To cancel the forwarding, press the "CFwdALL" button again.

Speed Dial

You can change speed dials by following these steps:

  1. Open Internet Explorer and go to the phone website.
  2. A page will come up about security settings. Select “continue to this website (not recommended)"
  3. Logon credentials are last four digits of the Cisco telephone set and the password is 12345
  4. A page will open up where you will see the speed dial buttons.
