Ozone Reports

  • Green: Good
  • Yellow: Moderate
  • Orange: Unhealthy, avoid prolonged outdoor activity, especially for people with asthma; Open burn is banned on forecast Code Orange days.
  • Red: Unhealthy, especially for people with respiratory illness who should avoid heavy outdoor exertion, others should limit heavy outdoor exertion;
  • Purple: Very unhealthy; especially for people with respiratory illness who should avoid all outdoor exertion, others should limit outdoor exertion;
  • Maroon: hazardous, avoid all outdoor exertion

How to Keep the Air Clean

  • Ride to work with a friend or take public transportation
  • Bring your lunch instead of driving, combine trips and errands
  • Postpone lawn mowing and refueling of cars until after 7 p.m.
