Patterson Avenue Culvert Replacement Project

Project Update

Construction is currently on-going for this project and is scheduled for completion by January 2023. Patterson Avenue is CLOSED to traffic until the completion of this project.

Construction was delayed until August 2022 because of delays related to material availability.

About the Project

The City is replacing drainage pipe systems at the intersection of Northwest Boulevard and Patterson Avenue. This project is replacing a seventy-two (72) inch pipe culvert and upgrading drainage structures and pipes that connect to Northwest Boulevard. The pipes were failing in the public right of way undermining the road and causing a road safety hazard. The pipes were failing because of age deterioration and a water main was also affecting the pipe culvert. This project will also provide adequate drainage system capacity to reduce street flooding.

This project improved the city’s stormwater system which makes it easier for water to flow when it rains.
