Responsibilities

The Accounting and Financial Reporting Division is responsible for providing financial information and assistance to city officials, management, program administrators and governmental agencies.

Compliance

This Division ensures that all accounting and reporting systems are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner, and appropriate budgetary funding exists for those transactions.

Government Finance Officers Association

The Government Finance Officers Association recognized the City of Winston-Salem in its Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Program in 2014.
