Operating Parks

The Recreation and Parks Department operates and maintains 79 parks. Among them are:

  • 112 tennis courts
  • 25 basketball courts
  • 43 soccer fields
  • 47 playgrounds
  • 47 softball fields
  • 51 picnic shelters
  • Eight swimming pools
  • Football field
  • Six volleyball courts

Hours & Rules

All parks are open from sunrise to sunset. Please obey all posted park rules. Dogs in parks must be leashed. No leash is required in the Dog Park located in Washington Park.


  • Starting June 24, 2019, avoid the fenced-off areas of Washington Park as a stormwater project gets underway. The park will remain open throughout the project
  • Restrooms at Shaffner Park Par Course are now open.
