K-9 Tyson enjoyed tracking; evidence, building and narcotic searches and, of course, catching the bad guy.

On September 28, 2010, K-9 Officer Mike Ford lost his partner K-9 Tyson to a serious health issue.

K-9 Tyson was a very valuable asset to the Winston-Salem Police Department. K-9 Tyson and his handler Officer Ford teamed up for numerous criminal apprehensions, narcotic seizures, lost or missing individuals, and article finds.

Officer Ford and K-9 Tyson were always regulars in the top teams finishing in United States Police Canine Association Certifications.

The K-9 Unit mourns the loss of one of its finest canines.
