[ARCHIVED] International Village Food and Music Festival Returning Oct. 15

Enjoy merchandise, entertainment and music from headliner Liontracks during the 2022 International Village Food and Music Festival, scheduled to be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, in Corpening Plaza. Admission is free.

Cultures from all over the world will be showcased and celebrated through music, dancing, fashion shows, food, arts and crafts vendors, and information booths. Food trucks offering Thai, Mexican, Jamaican, Haitian and other cuisines will be on site.

Before the festival starts, a naturalization ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. in Corpening Plaza.  Twenty people will become citizens of the United States. 

Liontracks is scheduled to perform at 4 p.m.  Also performing will be a variety of cultural dance groups and singers from such countries as Mexico, India, China and Ethiopia. The Forsyth County Public Library will be hosting a kid’s area with face painting, games, story-telling and teen activities.

International Village is organized by the Winston-Salem Department of Human Relations/Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in partnership with Truist. Additional sponsors include Hanesbrands, Summit Eye Care, NC Navigator Consortium, Forsyth Technical Community College, the Hispanic League, the Forsyth County Public Library, Yes Weekly, WTOB and Mia Magazine.
