[ARCHIVED] Public Art Commission Seeking Designs for Mural at Carver School Road Branch

The mural’s theme should be appropriate for a public library, and will be located on a back inside wall that measures about 355 square feet.

The chosen artist will be expected to hold a public meeting with the library community to introduce, discuss and explain their artwork before beginning to work. The mural should be painted with non-toxic paint.

The project is being funded by Forsyth County. A budget of $9,500 has been allocated to cover design fees, labor, supplies, insurance, scaffolding, transportation and any other associated costs.

This is a local competition open to artists over 18 years old who are residents of Forsyth County or teams with one member over the age of 18. Proposals must be submitted by noon on Monday, Jan. 23. The artist or team of artists will be selected in March.
