National Night Out, or NNO, is a community/police campaign that is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for local anticrime programs, strengthen neighborhood and community/police partnerships, and send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organizing and fighting back. More than 37 million people are expected to participate in "America's Night Out Against Crime."

This year's event on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 marks the 38th Annual National Night Out Celebration.

The official opening ceremony will begin at 6:00p.m. in the 4000 block of Eastside Court. This is located off Peters Creek Parkway, at the intersection of Parkside Place Drive and Eastside Court. The ceremony will be hosted by Neighborhood Watch Group 371, the Parkside Place Community. At this time, a proclamation will be read declaring October 5, 2021 National Night Out in Winston-Salem. The ceremony and events will continue at this location until 8:00p.m. Please join us in a united fight against crime by turning on your porch light from 6:00p.m. - 9:00p.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.
