1. Can I see cases that I haven’t submitted, and their status?

Yes. You will need to submit the address of the location you’re interested in.

2. Can I see if anyone has submitted a complaint at properties I own?

Yes, you would have to search the address of your property in the search section. If there are any cases, they’ll show up here.

3. If our neighborhood association wanted to see all open cases in our area, could we do a search?

To search cases in a specific geographical area, click “Search” and enter specific property addresses.

You could also perform a larger search by entering street names, but leaving the numbered address space blank.

4. Could I perform a general search about a specific type of violation. For example, if I wanted to see all complaints about tell grass across the city.

To do that, choose “search cases” and then click on “general search.” Choose the case type from the drop down menu.

5. If I fill in my address, will the person I’ve complained about be able to see who complained?

No, that person won’t be able to see your name or address. However, if someone reaches out to the city and files an open records request (through the Freedom of Information Act) the request would be reviewed by the city attorney’s office who would determine whether releasing that information is mandated by law.

6. What if I’m unhappy with the resolution of a complaint that I submit?

Contact CityLink 311 and submit a request for the neighborhood conservation officer handling the complaint to give you a call.
